In her intervention, Brugada categorically rejected the imposition of tariffs, considering them harmful and unfair to the economies of Mexico, the United States, and Canada. Brugada highlighted the importance of Mexico City in the national economy, as it contributes 16% of the country's Gross Domestic Product and is a leader in investment and business. She pointed out that the city is fundamental for economic growth and represents the wealth and prosperity of the entire nation. She also stressed that in 2022, the capital reached a historical record in exports, further emphasizing its economic relevance. The Head of Government called for national unity, inviting all social, productive, and educational sectors to join the mobilization on March 9 in the Zócalo. Brugada highlighted that defending the city is defending all of Mexico, its history, culture, and peoples. She emphasized the importance of cooperation and coordination between nations but rejected subordination and interventionism. In her closing words, Clara Brugada Molina urged the defense of the nation, highlighting that Mexico deserves respect and all nations should be treated as equals. Together with her cabinet, she reiterated Mexico City's position in defense of the nation's sovereignty and its fundamental role in the national economy.
